“People should not be afraid of their governments. Governments should be afraid of their people.” V, V for Vendetta.

It’s funny how poignant quotes from graphic novels, comics, and cartoons can be. When  V for Vendetta was written, from 1988-1989, it accurately reflects the tense atmosphere of the time.

At the moment we’re not exactly in ‘relaxed’ political time; with a an emotionally unstable man child in one corner, a posturing robot in another, a totalitarian leader in the third, and the fourth well- take your own pick!

I feel the need to hunt down a copy of the graphic novel.
