“Everybody going to be dead one day, just give them time” Anansi Boys by Neil Gaiman
One week I will sit down and read all of the Gaiman books I can get my hands. Just delving into the next once I finished the first. So on and so on. Anansi Boys is one of them in question. I love the set up for the book. “Fat Charlie” Nancy, a shy retiring Englishman, breaks out of his wedding preparations when he finds out his polar opposite father has died. Died whilst singing karaoke to a much younger lady in Florida. The romp reveals things about his father, including his other brother.
A fantastic kind of follow up to American Gods.
I just find it a funny way of looking at patience. It will happen eventually. Even death.
Like waiting for an Amazon parcel to arrive. It’ll happen. Eventually. Hopefully.
