"April hath put a spirit of youth in everything" from Sonnet 98 on the background of forest on a Spring morning

“April hath put a spirit of youth in everything” from Sonnet 98 by Shakespeare

When I was younger, or as Belov’d and I keep saying to each other “smol”, winter was my favourite season. There were a lot of perks, my birthday, Christmas, good food, movies and all the delights that come with the season. Now I am an adult. Paying my own heating bills. For the first year ever I’m actually looking forward to Spring.

It feels like I’m nearly two months early but it’s nice to think about that middle future as it were. That hop in your step, mainly as there isn’t as much ice on the ground, and that treat of not freezing when you step out the door. Looking forward to shaking loose this feeling of creaking age to be invigorated with the stride of youth.
