"Love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind, And therefore is winged Cupid painted blind." Mindsummer Night's Dream by the Spear Shaker

Another one of my favourite plays. I just wanted another to tie in with Belov’d and mine’s anniversary. I love his mind so much how he makes connections, how he explains and articulates himself (in many languages), in short I love him. I ain’t going to make a secret of it.

Anyway, the locks. It started back in Serbia, as a way to cement your relationship. Initially it was any monument you could get a padlock around. Then it developed towards bridges and moved across to other parts of Europe afterwards. When I was in L├╝beck there was a bridge full of them. There’s an odd few on bridges here in Cork. Unfortunately, it’s not great for the bridge- they designers and builders don’t exactly account for the extra weight.
